About Dr. Erica Amery
Erica Amery
Dr. Erica Amery is a Diversity Consultant. She holds a Doctor of Education, specializing in adult learning. Her research focuses on intercultural education in post-secondary institutions and community-based organizations.
She has travelled to over 45 different countries and is passionate about meeting and interacting with people from all walks of life. She understands the challenges of communicating with people from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds and recognizes the importance of continuing to work on the skills, knowledge and attitudes to thrive from intercultural interactions.
Dr. Amery has conducted workshops, coaching and assessments in Canada and in South Africa.
She integrates a combination of theoretical background, reflections from her experiences and most of ensures all of her participants feel comfortable sharing their experiences, concerns and successes. She encourages participants to reflect on their own personal lives and practices and apply the concepts learned to their own practices.
